Kwasniewski says Ukraine seeing largest public demonstrations in any post-Soviet country

During a Wednesday phone talk with Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn, Polish President Oleksandr Kwasniewski described the current events in Ukraine as the largest public mass action seen in any post-Soviet country.
At the same time, he said that "there is a chance for a solution to the current difficult situation," the Verkhovna Rada's press service reported.
Walensa says OSCE has appointed him its envoy to Ukraine

Polish ex-president Lech Walensa has been appointed the OSCE's envoy to Ukraine. "One minute ago I was told on the phone that I have been appointed the OSCE's envoy in Ukraine - this is another argument, which can help Ukraine", Walensa said at a press conference on Thursday after his meeting with opposition leader Viktor Yuschenko in Kyiv.
