The opposition Civic Platform has improved its popularity ratings after Donald Tusk's TV debate with the conservative leader Prime Minister Jarosław Kaczyński of Law and Justice last Friday.
A poll for the Dziennik daily showed the Civic Platform with 46 percent support, 14 points ahead of Law and Justice. In another poll, by the PBS institute for Gazeta Wyborcza, the opposition has a lead of only one percentage point. Most surveys conducted over the past few weeks showed Law and Justice and Civic Platform running neck-and-neck.
